An illustrious heritage of landscape painting in Wales stretching from Richard Wilson in the mid-18th Century to James Dickson Innes in the first decades of the 20th Century was continued throughout the 20th Century. Attracted by the diversity of landscapes stretching from the beaches of Gower to the mountains of Snowdonia, from that period a selection of modern landscape painters in Wales are presented here. Developed in association with Grant Waters, Art Detective Group Leader: South East England, East England and the Midlands.
