Robin Philipson
1916–1992
Painter and teacher, born Robert James Philipson in Broughton-in-Furness, Lancashire. After attending Edinburgh College of Art, 1936–40, Philipson served in a Scottish regiment during World War II, then joined the staff of Edinburgh College of Art in 1947.
