About the Art UK Shop
Art UK Shop is a shared platform for public collections allowing them to generate revenue from print-on-demand, image licensing and by selling their own merchandise (orders come directly to the collections for fulfilment). Any collection that is an Art UK Partner can join the shop.
Print-on-demand and image licensing are managed by e-commerce and print experts Heritage Digital, based in Derbyshire. Revenue is split between the collection and Heritage Digital, who take a share to cover the printing and fulfilment costs and collections. Art UK does not take a share.
Customers
Customers of the Shop can explore highlights of the collection, discover amazing paintings to print and frame for display, or license for editorial and online use. Customers are able to purchase merchandise, prints or licences from several different collections at once, making for a seamless, unified shopping experience.
Selling through the Shop brings exposure to Art UK's audience of over 2.7 million unique users a year.
Benefits of joining the Art UK Shop
There is mutual benefit in multiple collections pointing to a single authoritative e-commerce offering in terms of traffic, Google rankings and sharing marketing costs. The more collections join the Shop, the more all collections benefit from increased exposure and sales.
Art UK works to promote our Shop Partner collections through:
- Promotion on social media channels
- Advertising through Google AdWords and bespoke advertisements
- Creation of themed landing pages
Successes so far
The Art UK Shop is seeing exponential sales growth with year-on-year revenues doubling over our first three years of operation.
Most collections generate a multiple of their partnership fee in revenue.
