Abstract style painting of items from a table, with a predominantly black background and items painted in white and green, representing the aftermath of a party. At this point in the artist’s painting vision, he had a particular fascination with the variety of shapes and forms on a flat surface. This early work markedly contrasts with his current work.

Archibald Dunbar McIntosh, RSW, RGI, was born in Glasgow and studied and taught at Glasgow School of Art.
