More about

Plas Newydd, Llangollen, is situated above the small town famous for the International Musical Eisteddfod. It became famous due to the occupancy of Lady Eleanor Butler and the Honourable Sarah Ponsonby from 1780. The ‘Ladies of Llangollen’, as they were known, spent 50 years together there. The picturesque listed landscape compliments the house with formal gardens and a wooded dell with the Cyflymen stream.
