Nantclwyd y Dre

The history of Nantclwyd y Dre dates back to 1435. It has seen many owners and visitors over the past 600 years. Nantclwyd y Dre is situated on Castle Street near the centre of Ruthin. It is Wales’ oldest surviving timber framed medieval town house, occupied from 1435 to 1984. Built on and extended throughout its history the house has been restored and renovated and visitors can now experience the ‘Seven Ages’ of Nantclwyd.
