Dr Helen Scott is Curator of Fine Art at the City Art Centre, part of Museums & Galleries Edinburgh (City of Edinburgh Council). She previously worked for the Wilhelmina Barns-Graham Trust, having studied Art History at the University of St Andrews. As a curator, she specialises in nineteenth- and twentieth-century Scottish art, contemporary Scottish art, and British Modernism. She has written for a variety of art-historical publications and is the author of the monographs Edwin G. Lucas: An Individual Eye (2018), Mary Cameron: Life in Paint (2019) and Adam Bruce Thomson: The Quiet Path (2024).
