A very vibrant image of the female form. It is a cross between Dadaism and the Occult, both of which the artist was very influenced by. Colquhoun was the youngest ever female student accepted to study at the Slade. She also studied in Paris and Athens and lived in London in the 1930s. She was a leading member of the British Surrealists. A retrospective exhibition of her work was shown at the Newlyn Orion in 1976.
