Adam Bruce Thomson (1885–1976)

National Trust for Scotland, Culzean Castle, Garden & Country Park
Painter, printmaker and teacher, born in Edinburgh, where he continued to live. Was for a time on Edinburgh College of Art staff, where he had trained, where he was a notable teacher of etching. Exhibited extensively at RSA and SSA, being president of both for a time; was also a member of RSW and showed at Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool, and Royal Glasgow Institute of the Fine Arts. Member of Scottish Arts Club. Aberdeen Art Gallery holds his work, featured in a show at The Scottish Gallery, Edinburgh, in 2003.
