Painter in oil and watercolour, born in Clifton, Bristol. She studied 1932–7 West of England College of Art, Bristol, where her teachers included the painter Evan Charlton, whom she married. Her work consisted of “scenes of interiors and gardens, with imaginary figures and other details”, and was widely exhibited in group shows including RWA, WAC, Royal National Eisteddfod and Howard Roberts Gallery, in Cardiff. WAC, Newport and Swansea art galleries hold her work. Had a number of shows with husband including a major retrospective at Newport Museum and Art Gallery in 1981. The gallery gave her another retrospective in 1993. Other solo shows included Andrew Knight Gallery in Cardiff, 1985; Underground Gallery, Bath, 1989; and Rooksmoor Gallery, Bath, 1991.
