The vivid colours of this painting, which are unusual for the date it was painted, were hidden for many years under dirt and grime. Conservation work has meant it can now be placed on permanent display. Depicting the Last Supper, this painting was commissioned by Henry Halsey who gave it to St Andrew's Church, Farnham, at the end of the eighteenth century. It hung over the altar until 1848 when it was moved to the south wall of the tower. It gradually fell into disrepair and was taken down in 1963 and loaned to the Museum of Farnham for safekeeping. Jesus and his disciples are seated in a semicircle around a table as Jesus blesses the bread and wine. Some of the disciples are looking at Jesus, some up to heaven and Judas, who is seated centre right, looks out of the picture.
