There are seven pieces in the series – five small works each in the form of a house, act as landmarks in the smaller open areas around the site, and each features a plant growing nearby; clover, buttercup, stitchwort, dock and bulrush. Two larger works represent the methods of storing the cut hay: the 'Bale' and the 'Stook' stand opposite each other across the largest public open space.
