This was a gift from the 2nd Marquess of Bath to his brother-in-law, Orlando 1st Earl of Bradford of the second creation (see 'Collections for a History of Staffordshire', 1899, p. 247). The Burse shown is also in the collection of the Weston Park Foundation and displayed below the portrait.
