Three surviving monuments from a much larger group, which were made in the 1940s by Polish soldiers of the 10th Cavalry Brigade who were evacuated to Douglas during the Second World War. The works were reinstalled at this site in 2002. Two are in the form of pillars, placed to the rear of the site and on the ground there is a large, low triangular monument. The pillar on the left has a flat metal eagle mounted on top and, carved into the stone, the Polish white eagle, with an inscription in English and Polish below. This pillar was presented to Douglas by General Maczek (then commanding the 10th Brigade), in gratitude for the hospitality and kindness the Poles had received. The pillar to the right has a relief motif which combines the leather wings of a Polish hussar with an anchor and the letters '10 BK' below.
