Emmeline Deane was a Bath portrait painter and miniaturist. She exhibited five works at the Royal Academy from 1879 to 1892. The Gallery collection includes eleven of her portrait and landscape paintings in oil, pastel and watercolour. Her 1889 portrait of Cardinal Newman is in the National Portrait Gallery collection. She was related to P. G. Wodehouse. She died in 1939.
