A two-tier fountain of polished Shap granite, with shallow bowls on a central stem, set in former ornamental pool of intersected quatrefoil shape, now filled with soil and planted. It originally was located in the grounds of Stanwick Hall, which was demolished in 1923. It is not known when it was relocated to Darlington. Unfortunately, the fountain only every produced a trickle of water, so was filled in within a couple of decades and planted with flowers. The railings were removed in the early 1940s to assist the war effort.
