Tim Severwright is a self-taught digital artist, who didn’t start producing art seriously until his late forties. This image was first exhibited at The Beecroft during The Lockdown Open (Summer 2021). At the time, he wrote: 'During Lockdown, I did a lot of walking within the permitted five mile radius of my home and on the occasions I passed the Beecroft, I’d think of all that ungazed at art sealed inside, and being deprived of regard, all that unspent colour energy had to be released somehow, didn’t it? Beecroft Disco.' Describing the construction of the image, he said, '… it’s not actually possible to get a clear view of The Beecroft from this angle – there are two huge trees in the way – so I had to take photos from various vantage points to make a composite on which to base the image.
