A standing female nude model, the right leg is raised on a low block and the weight of the body rests on the left leg. The arms are raised and the hands clasped behind the head, which is slightly bent downwards. The work was conceived in 1898 and editioned in bronze by the art dealer Ambroise Vollard from 1898. The present bronze was cast at an unknown date but perhaps the first half of the 1920s.
