Painter and teacher, born in Douglas, Isle of Man. After education in England and Wales she attended Manchester College of Art, teaching part-time while still a student. A number of further school appointments followed in the north of England and finally Wales, where she was also a part-time teacher for the Workers’ Educational Association and Gwent County Council. Showed in groups at Bradford City Art Gallery, Paris Salon, SEA, SWG, NEAC and widely in the provinces; one-man shows included Newport Museum and Art Gallery, Exeter University and University College, Cardiff. CASW holds her work. This was representational and abstract, strong in colour and line. Lived in Griffithstown, Pontypool, Gwent.
