Painter and printmaker. Born in Worcester, he studied and settled in Bournemouth, Hampshire. Was a gold medallist, National Competition of School of Art, 1909–10. Became senior assistant at the Southern College of Art, Bournemouth, retiring in 1953. Exhibited from 1915 at the RA; also showed at RI and RE. Had a one-man show at the Red House Art Gallery, Christchurch, Hampshire and at the Eastbourne and Hastings public galleries in 1956. His work is held by public galleries in Eastbourne, Hastings and Bournemouth, where the Russell-Cotes Art Gallery put on a retrospective in 1978.
