Artist who employed photography, born in Auckland, New Zealand. She studied at Elam School of Art, 1966–9, and took a teaching diploma in art and art history in 1971. Became a member of the Association of Cinematographers and Television Technicians. Showed at Hayward Annual, 1978; Palais des Beaux-Arts, Brussels, 1979; Summer Show 2 at Serpentine Gallery, 1981; and Woodlands Art Gallery, 1981–2, touring exhibition of Greater London Arts Association award winners. Solo shows included ICA, 1978, and New 57 Gallery, Edinburgh, 1980. Arts Council, Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art and Otago University in New Zealand hold examples. Lived in London. In 2002, Bottaccio Galleries staged Realising Gentileschi, Hunter’s ongoing performance on the seventeenth-century painter plus new computer works.
