Ghisha Koenig
1921–1993
Sculptor and draughtsman, born and lived in London, daughter of the writer and art critic Leo Koenig. After a poor scholastic start, Koenig won a scholarship to Hornsey School of Art, 1939; left it in 1942, serving four years in the Army; studied under Henry Moore at Chelsea School of Art, 1946–8; and at Slade School of Fine Art, 1948–9.
