Mary Jewels
1886–1977
Painter of Cornwall, her maiden name was Mary Tregurtha (her husband Albert Jewels was killed in World War I). She was born in Newlyn, her sister Cordelia being the first wife of the sculptor Frank Dobson, who made a fine bronze head of Mary.
