A very fine military effigy. The figure lies flat beneath an ogee-gabled and vaulted canopy. There is a mail coif probably covering a steel skullcap of slightly bulbous form and a band decorated with small blank shields around the temples over the coif. It features a rather voluminous hauberk of mail (see manner in which lower parts of sleeves sag) with a skirt reaching to just above knees. The sleeves are caught at the wrists by narrow straps with buckles. The hands (mutilated) are joined in prayer and probably covered by mail mufflers. It has plain rectangular ailettes, and a sleeveless surcoat with left armpit cut to an angle, very full, and a slit in front to above the knee, probably calf or ankle length (lower parts of effigy missing); gathered in at waist by a narrow belt with buckle in front and strap end hanging down to knee.
