At centre of image is a loch which runs from the foreground into the distance. The loch is spanned by a three-arch bridge with four small apertures. To left of the loch is sloping land, on which is a building of ecclesiastical appearance with a square tower. Two smaller single-storey structures are immediately to left of the bridge. Trees at the water's edge in front of the church. To right of the bridge are two standing figures, with a structure visible behind them to right, bushes and a tree at the water's edge in front of them.
