Painter, born in London, who studied at Chelsea School of Art, 1955–9, and the Royal College of Art, 1959–62. He showed with Young Contemporaries from 1958, in the John Moores Liverpool Exhibition, 1961, and Arts Council Travelling Exhibition in 1962. In that year Wright was included in the Grabowski Gallery’s Image in Progress. Of his work he said: “I feel that there is an order in all things which underlies the complexity and variety of everything around us. The artist must work towards knowing this order, finding his own way to express what he sees.”
