Photographic artist, born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, who studied at the University of Ulster and West Surrey College of Art & Design. He won the Glen Dimplex Award, Irish Museum of Modern Art, Dublin, 1997; Autowerk Commission, B M W, 1998; and Ville de Paris Artist Award, 1999. Seawright took part in numerous group exhibitions internationally and had several dozen solo shows. Later ones included Kerlin Gallery, Dublin, 1999; and in 2000 Maureen Paley/Interim Art; Rena Bransten Gallery, San Francisco, California, America; and Bonakdar Jancou Gallery. The Arts Council, British Council, Ulster Museum in Belfast, Art Institute of Chicago, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and international corporate collections hold examples. Lived in Gwent.
