Painter in oil and acrylic, born in Glasgow, who was 25 years in the distributive trade before painting full-time. He studied part-time at Glasgow School of Art under William Crosbie. Was a member of the Royal Glasgow Institute of the Fine Arts, also showing in groups at Richard Hagen Gallery, Broadway; Gatehouse Gallery in Glasgow; and Contemporary Fine Art Gallery, Eton. Solo shows included the Gatehouse; Macaulay Gallery, Stenton; and Gallery 41, Edinburgh. HRH The Duke of Edinburgh holds his work. Lived in Prestwick, Ayrshire.
