Painter, theatrical designer and mural artist. After education at Imperial Service College, Windsor, Burnand studied art at Farnham School of Art, with Otway McCannell, 1929–31, and at the Royal Academy Schools, 1931–2, under Thomas Monnington. He was a Prix de Rome winner and attended the British School in Rome, 1933–5. Exhibited RA, RBA, NEAC and throughout the West Country. Signed work with initials plus date. Completed a number of church commissions in the south of England and East Anglia. Lived at Bordon, Hampshire.
