Self-taught painter, born in Manchester, who attended evening classes at Heginbottom School of Art, Ashton-under-Lyne, in textile design. As a painter he was drawn “to the urban landscape of my childhood”. Showed at MAFA and elsewhere in north of England. Manchester City Art Gallery holds his oil on canvas Old House, Cheltenham. Lived in Droylsden, Lancashire.
