Painter of landscape and still life in acrylic and watercolour who gained his diploma at Glasgow School of Art, 1959, eventually working as a professional artist on major art and design projects throughout the United Kingdom. Clients included local authorities, property developers, banks and insurance companies. Anderson designed what was at that time claimed to be the tallest sculpture in the United Kingdom, at the headquarters entrance hall of Scottish Amicable Life Assurance, Craigforth. Exhibited at RSW, Royal Glasgow Institute of the Fine Arts, regularly at the annual exhibition of Scottish art at Wren Gallery, Burford, and elsewhere in England and Scotland, as well as having solo shows.
