The Roman army was the most organised and efficient military force in the world, with excellent discipline, training and supply, which explains its victories over the 'barbarian hordes' of the Celtic tribes throughout NW Europe. Nigel will discuss Roman military life and campaigning here in Britannia at the time of the Boadican Revolt of AD61, utilising images, costume, artefacts and weaponry.
