Wander the rooms of the Gascoigne’s former home at Lotherton and discover the family’s other properties and estates in this new community display. Telling the stories of Lotherton (England), Parlington (England), Castle Oliver (Ireland), and Craignish (Scotland), visitors will find out what it was like to own and live in such grand homes. They will also get an insight into how the local communities interacted with their gentry neighbours through work, music, art and sport. This display will link to the eveningwear exhibition, What Shall I Wear, through stories of parties and fashion that the family were famous for.
