The Scottish Parliament holds a diverse collection of paintings, photography, sculpture and textiles by some of Scotland’s leading contemporary artists, dating from the 1960s to the present day. Many works were specially commissioned for the new Parliament building that opened in 2004.

The collection is displayed in the Scottish Parliament. A number of works are on public display and can be viewed anytime during opening hours. Most of the collection can be viewed on a free tour and other works by appointment.
