The Schorr Collection is a privately owned art collection, which has been developed over the last 50 years, and now principally comprises almost 450 Old Master and nineteenth century paintings.
It ranges from fifteenth century devotional images to Impressionist landscapes. Notable artists include Rubens, Tintoretto, El Greco, Turner, Ingres, van Dyck, Veronese, Cranach, Pissarro and Sisley. In addition, there are extensive holdings of works on paper.
The Schorr Collection has always sought to share works for public display, wherever possible, and encourages support for educational and academic research. Approximately half the collection is on long term loan to museums and institutions in the UK, Europe and America while short term loans are also facilitated for exhibitions representing featured artists from the collection. Please note that as a lending collection, the Schorr Collection does not have a publicly accessible venue where the works can be viewed.
