The Royal Faculty of Procurators in Glasgow is one of the oldest legal societies in the United Kingdom, having been incorporated 'long prior to 1668'. It continues to serve the needs of the legal profession in and around Glasgow and also acts as the Glasgow legal profession’s representative body. The paintings which make up the art collection (along with the marble busts which are housed in the Royal Faculty Library) are all of former Deans of the Royal Faculty.
