The Radnorshire Museum, part of Powys County Council Museum Service, is located in the centre of Llandrindod Wells and holds collections relating to the former county of Radnorshire. The museum is housed in the former Carnegie Public Library.
The museum has a small collection of paintings including fine examples of work by John Opie, J. M. Ince (watercolours), Augustus Henry Fox and, Radnorshire’s premier artist, Thomas Jones (watercolours). Other fine work dates from Llandrindod’s spa heyday when artists flocked to the area keen to take advantage of the multitude of potential customers.
