Mill Green Museum and Mill, in the tiny village of Mill Green between Welwyn Garden City and Hatfield, is a little gem with loads to offer for a fun day out. You can explore the fascinating 300 year old water mill, restored to full working order. Visit the local history museum in the old mill house, bring a picnic or have a tasty cream tea on summer Sunday afternoons, from Easter to September. The site is open all year round, closed Monday–Wednesday, open 10.00–17.00 Thursday–Sunday. The site has a lively programme of activities, events and workshops and a regularly changing programme of exhibitions.
