More about

Kilmory Knap Chapel was built in the early 1200s. By the late 1200s it was a dependency of the parish church of Knapdale at Keills. But judging by the early Christian carved stones found here, this was also the site of a much older church. Within the chapel are nearly 40 carved stones dating from the early Christian period to the sixteenth century. Several other pieces of historic sculpture remain within the churchyard and include two cross-bases.
