Due to Covid-19 restrictions, venues and exhibitions are closed until further notice. We recommend checking with the venues' own websites for up-to-date information. Elizabeth Castle is a defensive structure built on an islet in St Aubin's Bay. Access to the castle is either by amphibious vehicle or via a causeway at low tide. Displays cover the military history of the island. Most of the paintings at Elizabeth Castle are military portraits.

Did you know...in 1804, Philippe D'Auvergne refurbished some of the rooms in the Keep at Mont Orgueil Castle to house a kidnapped Napoleon Bonaparte. The French Secret Police got wind of the plot and the kidnap never took place. #OurIslandStory https://t.co/lst435in9T
