Due to Covid-19 restrictions, venues and exhibitions are closed until further notice. We recommend checking with the venues' own websites for up-to-date information. Cardonald Library is a well used community public library based in the Cardonald area of Glasgow. It holds a painting of ‘Crookston Castle’ by an unknown artist. The Castle belonged to the Stewarts of Darnley, the most famous member of which, Lord Darnley, married Mary Queen of Scots. Legend has it that it was under a yew tree in the grounds of Crookston Castle that this ill-fated couple were betrothed.
