The Cadbury Research Library is the home of the University of Birmingham’s special collections of over four million manuscripts, photographs, archives and associated artefacts, and 250,000 rare books dating from 1471. The collections include the personal archive of photographs and drawings of Sir Lawrence Alma-Tadema R.A., fine examples of work from The Kelmscott Press of William Morris, and beautifully illuminated Middle Eastern Manuscripts in the Mingana Collection, as well as the archive of the University’s own history. We welcome all visitors to consult the collections in our reading room at the Edgbaston campus. We are open Mondays to Fridays.
