Angus Archives collects, records and preserves archival material and photographs relating to the Angus area. The collection includes the records of the former burghs of Angus (Arbroath, Brechin, Carnoustie, Forfar, Kirriemuir, Montrose and Monifieth), Angus County Council and letters from J. M. Barrie, the author of 'Peter Pan'. A number of paintings are housed in the archives including portraits of members of the Hunter family.
