Tell us about the inspiration for this range
Lynne: The Peplos jewellery collection is inspired by the drapery found in classical and neoclassical sculpture, taken from the name of a sleeveless garment worn by women in ancient Greece often seen in such sculptures. The collection celebrates the sensuousness and the craftsmanship of the beautifully rendered drapery found in sculptures of these periods.
Your technique is quite unique – what does it involve?
Lynne: The fluid forms have been created digitally and 3D printed in high-quality nylon and then dyed, giving the effect of undulating fabric twisting and adorning the body, then frozen into pleasing forms.
Which is your favourite piece from the range?
Lynne: The ring is my favourite piece as it was the first one I developed during the design process. It really encapsulated what I was trying to achieve after a lot of experimenting with shapes and forms. It's also eye-catching but light and easy to wear.
How would you style the range?
Lynne: I think these pieces would look great with clothes in a contrasting colour, to give a colour–blocking look, perfect for a smart-casual occasion as they are bold yet have a classic feel.
