Royal Welch Fusiliers Regimental Museum
Sergeant Luke O'Connor Winning His VC at the Battle of the Alma, 20th September 1854 (detail), oil on canvas by Desanges, Louis William, 1822–1906, photo credit: Royal Welch Fusiliers Regimental Museum
The Royal Welch Fusiliers Museum reveals the history of the distinguished regiment and the hidden stories of its infantry. The museum is housed within two towers of Caernarfon Castle – a medieval fortress in North Wales, the origins of which date back to the Roman Empire. As well as weapons, uniforms and medals, the museum’s collection also includes artworks that depict significant events and people from the regiment's history. You can find a selection of these on the Art UK Shop.
The three artworks below are available to buy as framed prints for the special price of just £40 each.
