Penlee House Gallery and Museum
Crossing the Street (detail), watercolour on card by Layng, Mabel Frances, 1881–1937, photo credit: Staffordshire Heritage & Arts
£40
The wet pavement, full of soft reflected colour, seems to owe much to French painting but the composition shows Garstin’s interest in Japanese art. It's a beautiful art piece that deserves pride of place in your home.
Available now for just £40 plus postage. You can also buy this image as a customised art print or framed print, or a digital image licence for use in print and online work.
