Bolton Library and Museum Services comprises Bolton Museum, ten libraries and two historic halls. The extensive art collection is focussed on British oil paintings, watercolours, drawings, prints and sculpture, with an emphasis on the post-Second World War period. Portraits of local personalities and topographical views, and example artworks from notable Boltonians form a key part of the collection, which also includes artists of national and international significance.
