Delivery charges, returns and cancellations

Dispatch

We always try to dispatch your order within the timeframes below:

  • Books: 1 working day
  • Limited edition prints: 3 working days
  • Art prints: up to 7 working days
  • Framed prints: up to 14 working days

You can check the status of your order(s) by signing in, clicking your name that appears in the top-right corner of the page, and clicking 'My shop account'.

Please allow up to 10 days after dispatch for delivery within the UK and 28 days for worldwide deliveries. If you have not received your order within this time, please email [email protected]. Please note that if you order more than one product they may be dispatched separately and arrive at different times.

Books

Our range of full-colour hardback catalogues can be posted to locations around the world.

UK: Free delivery
Europe: £9 plus £3 for each additional book
Worldwide: £15 plus £7.50 for each additional book

Limited edition prints

Delivery costs will vary depending on the size of the print. Delivery charges will be detailed on the product information page.

Art prints

Our art prints are shipped rolled in a sturdy cardboard tube.

UK: £3.00 plus 20p for each additional print
Europe: £5.50 plus 20p for each additional print
Worldwide: £8.00 plus 20p for each additional print

Framed prints

Our framed prints will be shipped in protective packing to ensure the print and frame arrive in perfect condition.

UK: £12.00 plus £2.75 for each additional framed print
Europe: £16.50 plus £4.50 for each additional framed print
Worldwide: £18.50 plus £7.50 for each additional framed print

Cancellation policy

We would prefer you to telephone us on 0115 838 6175 to cancel your order. You may also email us at [email protected] or complete the Customer Order Notification Cancellation form, and return it to us at [email protected].

Books. You may cancel your order for books prior to dispatch or within 14 days of receiving your goods and receive a full refund. Please see the returns section for information about how to return your order.

Limited edition prints. From time to time, limited edition prints may be offered for sale through the Art UK Shop. Limited edition prints are a manufactured item and you may cancel your order prior to dispatch, or within 14 days of receiving your goods, and receive a full refund. Please see the returns section for more information.

Art prints and framed prints are bespoke, made-to-order goods. Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations these goods do not attract the same cancellation rights that typically apply to a distance contract. You may change your mind prior to dispatch, and you will not be charged for your order. If you decide to cancel your order after dispatch, a 20% fee of the cost of each returned item will be deducted from your refund.

If your order has been dispatched you will need to follow our returns procedure.

Digital Licensed Images are defined as digital downloads and you acknowledge that you will not have the right to cancel your order for a digital licensed image or request a refund once you click the download button.

You will be required to tick an acknowledgement message before you can download your image. This acknowledgement will be recorded as proof of acceptance of this term.

You may, however, cancel your order for a digital licensed image prior to download by telephoning 0115 838 6175 or emailing [email protected].

Returns policy

If you are not satisfied with your purchase, or it is damaged in transit, you must notify us within fourteen (14) working days of receiving your goods. We would prefer you to telephone us with details of your complaint on 0115 838 6175, but you may also email us at [email protected] or you may complete the Art UK Customer Returns Form, and email it to us at [email protected].

Books and limited edition prints

We will either replace or fully refund your order.

Art prints and framed prints

You may return an art print or framed print if you are unhappy with the product when you receive it. A 20% fee of the cost of each returned item will be deducted from any refund. However, if an art print or frame print is faulty or damaged when you receive it, you may return the item for a replacement or a refund. You must notify of us of any fault or damage within 14 days of receipt. Please email us at [email protected] and provide the following information:

  • your details;
  • your order number; and
  • a photo of the damage to or fault with the item and packaging.

We will arrange for a customer returns form to be sent to you. We will arrange for our designated courier service to collect the faulty item at our cost. A replacement item or refund will be issued on return of the faulty item.

Please return your order to us at the address below, in its original condition, with any seals and shrink wrap intact within 14 days of receiving the item(s). Please enclose the original delivery note to help us identify your order.

How to return books and art catalogues

Items delivered to an overseas address must be returned within 30 days of the cancellation date, unused, unopened (with any seals and shrink-wrap intact) and accompanied by the original delivery note to help us identify your order.

Goods must be returned at your own cost and we would recommend that you return the goods by recorded delivery. We can only accept the return, and refund opened items if they are faulty.
