Dr Sophie Bowness is an art historian and a Trustee of the Hepworth Estate. She has curated 'Barbara Hepworth: artist in society 1948-53' at St Albans Museum + Gallery and has edited the books Barbara Hepworth: The Plasters – The Gift to Wakefield (2011) and Barbara Hepworth: Writings and Conversations (2015).
