Saffron East is a historian of identities, education and social movements in modern and contemporary Britain. Her PhD explored British South Asian social movements since the 1950s and her current research focuses on antiracist pedagogies. She is also interested in the politics of history in art, museums and public spaces, and leads creative public workshops on history, memory and community.
